Okay, here's perhaps a dumb question, but I need to ask just to sure I understand correctly.
Google Sketchup Make Free
- Years ago, Google purchased Sketchup as part of a plan to have everyone around the World model their local environment, upload this to a global free database/resource and make this available via Google Earth or other means.
- A feature of SketchUp is the 3D Warehouse that lets SketchUp users search for models made by others and contribute models. The free version of SketchUp can export 3D data to SKP SketchUp file, DAE and Google Earth's KMZ file format.
As I understand it Sketchup Make is the new version of what was known as previously as SketchUp 8, right? And so if I download and install Make will it write over my current SketchUp * or will it install separately? And assuming it installs separately then I should be able to keep working on my current models, right?
Also does Make offer anything new over 8?
And SketchUp 2013 is really Pro or they're ywo different things yet neither are free and are for commercial use, right?
It might sound like a silly question, but I'd rather ask just to be sure than maybe goof up somehow.

As compared to fee SketchUpsoftware, this is much simpler and easy to use with flexible features. Drawingwith SketchUp Pro seems like drawing with pencils. LayOut features and StyleBuilder tools of SketchUp pro are also enhanced. Supporting format of it iswider, files in formats 2D, 3D, 3DS, ACAD, IFC and DEM can be imported and readin it. BMP images can also be shared and displayed on SketchUp Pro. It alsooffers a trial period for students and beginners. Auto text tags are alsoavailable in SketchUp Pro which is not a feature of SketchUp Make. Page numbersand dates can easily be inserted in to the projects in this software.
